Male Plus - Prostate Support Component

The 2nd component of our Male Plus men's health, nutritional, and anti-aging supplement is our Prostate Support. For many men, a common area for disorders in the male genitourinary system is the prostate. There are three general types of conditions that can cause problems with the prostate: prostatitis, which is inflammation of the prostate, benign prostatic hypertrophy, which is an enlarged prostate with no signs of cancer, and prostate cancer.

Male Plus is designed to support a healthy prostate in men. It contains Saw Palmetto, Zinc and a Selenium combination with synergistic botanicals and Lycopene.

The prostate is the most common site of disorders in the male genitourinary system. Generally speaking, there are 3 conditions that can cause problems with the prostate: prostatitis, which is inflammation of the prostate, benign prostatis hypertrophy, which is an enlarged prostate with no signs of cancer, and prostate cancer.

Benign prostatis hypertrophy is the gradual enlargement of the prostate. It occurs in approximately half of all men over the age of 50 and three quarters of men over 70 years of age. Some symptoms of an enlarged prostate may include the need to pass urine frequently, pain, burning, and difficulty in starting and stopping urination.

While not cancerous, an enlarged prostate can cause problems. With a proper diet, nutritional supplementation, exercise, and medical testing for prostatitis may reduce the risk of developing major symptoms associated with prostate enlargement.

Saw Palmetto Fruit plant extract*	640 mg	There has been much clinical research on the use of Saw Palmetto in treating symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate. This product incorporates both the whole berry and a plant extract to offer a full spectrum of constituents.
Pygeum Bark	100 mg	In Europe, this botanical is becoming the primary therapy for benign prostatic hypertrophy. This botanical has been traditionally used to reduce inflammation in the prostate.
Pumpkin Seed	50 mg	This botanical has been historically used to relieve symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate.
Beta Sitosterol	50 mg	Beta Sitosterol is the most abundant phytosterol and is found in Saw Palmetto, Pygeum and Pumpkin Seed. It has been reported that Beta Sitosterol may have activity in prostate health and supporting healthy cholesterol levels.
Eleuthero Root	50 mg	(also known as Siberian Ginseng) This botanical has been historically used as a tonic for invigoration and fortification in times of fatigue and debility or declining capacity for work and concentration, and during convalescence.
Nettle Root	50 mg	Studies show that this botanical may be useful in treating symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy.
Lycopene	10 mg	Lycopene is the pigment responsible for the color of red tomatoes and may have anti-carcinogenic and anti-allergenic activities.
Selenium	100 mcg	Epidemiological data suggests that low dietary intake of Selenium is associated with increased incidence of several cancers, including prostate. Selenium has also been reported to have antioxidant and immune enhancing effects.
Zinc	10 mg	The prostate contains a higher concentration of Zinc than any other organ in the body and exerts an important influence on hormones produced. Supplemental Zinc can help to prevent deficiencies as well as assist in all metabolic pathways throughout the body.
